Toshiba is probably not the first brand name that comes to mind when you’re in the market for a new tube. But perhaps it should be. This is one fine, 3D capable, Internet TV.

The internet is connected on the Toshiba 42TL515U using the Ethernet Cable or the Wi-Fi feature. There are seven apps installed on the TV, including the Netflix. Though it doesn’t have a full internet browser, this doesn’t mean limited access to the app: you can enjoy the apps the same way as you would on a computer.

The LED screen of the TV is 42 inches and requires an average of 120 volts to run. It has standard HDTV resolution of 1920 x 1080p. The refresh rate is 240Hz which is much faster than you can even detect. Its 3D capabilities make it stand out from other Internet TVs since they are not offering this feature.

The Toshiba 42TL515U comes with a PC input, two USB ports, a composite input, a component input, a LAN port as well as an amazing digital audio out — which you can use to connect the Internet TV to the DVD player, a computer, or any other electronic device. In case you require beefier sound system something more than the 10 watts speakers, using the digital audio out you can connect a sound system to it too.

The TV also comes with the parental control feature through which you can control the TV programs your children can view or access. The remote with Toshiba 42TL515U is a basic TV remote and doesn’t have a full keyboard. With this Internet TV you can do one task at a time, meaning you can either watch TV or can use an Internet application. You can’t do both simultaneously or multitask. The search option also allows you to search the TV, the LAN or Internet apps individually and not together. So there is no integrated search option available with the TV and the search results would also not be displayed as integrated results.
