This is the easiest way I’ve found to get free simcash in the Sims Social. It doesn’t take much effort, and it doesn’t take much time. All it takes is consistency.
After sharing with you how to get free energy in the Sims Social and a general review of social network gaming, I quit playing the Sims Social on Facebook for several months. It wasn’t that I didn’t like it. In fact, I liked it too much. The Sims Social is designed so well that I couldn’t get anything else done.
But EA did an excellent job emphasizing the social aspect of the game. Every few seconds you get a pop-up asking you if you want to tell your friends about something or request something from your friends. All you need is to ask 5 friends for help, and you’ll get this shiny, new (yet, still virtual) thing that you’ve been trying to unlock for the last 5 hours.
Finally, after almost daily notifications in my Facebook profile, I gave in. (Willpower is a finite resource, right?) Soon after logging back in (and nursing back to health my severely neglected sim) I got this pop-up:
If you’ve played the Sims Social recently, you’ve probably seen this pop-up, too. If you haven’t, here’s how it works.
EA wants you to be playing the Sims Social as much as possible. The game is mostly free to play. But they get money through advertising. They get money through coaxing you into paying for simcash to buy in-game upgrades, and they get money from your friends who do the same thing. That’s why they try so hard to get you to invite your friends to play. The more people who are playing the Sims Social, the more EA makes.
By giving you a very insignificant award (a small amount of virtual currency in a virtual universe), EA entices you to play the Sims Social more regularly, which they hope will create more revenue for them in the long run.
So, how do you get free simcash? Simply play for five consecutive days. It’s that simple (and sneaky).
And if you’re growing tired of the Sims Social, take a look at EA’s newest Facebook game: SimCity Social.
