Once again it’s the 4th of July. Fireworks, hot dogs, and other Independence Day goodies might be poised to fill your holiday weekend. That’s certainly what the near future holds for SLee and Topher.
But if you don’t have any plans yet, here are some suggestions of ways to spend your 4th of July
Restore the Fourth
Here in the United States, we celebrate Independence Day every year, but it’s not every year that the NSA is caught spying on the phone records and internet activity of American citizens. If you feel like being actively patriotic, this is a great opportunity to stand with the EFF and half a million others to oppose warrantless surveillance.
If you oppose the NSA’s activities, you can click here to sign the petition to stop them.
“Restore the Fourth” is a growing movement whose name refers to the Fourth Amendment, but coincidentally it works out well for 4th of July protests: click here to find out when and where your local Restore the Fourth protest is going down.
Watch Movies
After the protest, you might still have nothing to do, so why not catch a few flicks?
Until the NSA destroys it, the internet provides us with instantaneous access to quality entertainment.
And in the theme of freedom, you can even get free access to Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, and Redbox Instant. Here are some links for a free trial:

Play Video Games
And of course there’s always our past time.
If you’ve already finished L.A. Noire and Halo 4, you could check out some of the newer games on the scene:
Tomb Raider isn’t quite as new, but there’s so much to do in that game, there’s gotta be some more life in it for you.
Those are Our Thoughts
